The effects of changing phone region for firmware/OS updates?

Hi, guys!

I'm just wondering, if I change my phone region outside my country, will it effects the firmware/OS updates which I have yet to receive in the future?

I live in Indonesia and using Lumia 730 DS. Currently I'm setting my phone region to United States in order to use Cortana and for wider apps choices.

My concern is, whenever there will be firmware/OS updates for 730 in Indonesia or SE Asia regions, will my phone still receive the notification/update regardless the region change?

Region change only affects your Windows store and others but not OS updates.
