I really wish they would release a Surface Studio Display. Give it a 120Hz VRR panel and connect via USB 4.0 to make it into a future proof device that works with Surfaces and other laptops and it'd be an instant buy even if was the same price as the full PC. There's nothing else like it on the market.

It is too a niche product for MS to do a display only product, but not for a monitor vendor. Don't be surprised to see the monitor show up from Samsung or another high end vendor.

Worth remembering that Surface products started out as reference designs.
MS leaving leaves the niche open for an OEM to go for it, one that might stuff it with more current components than MS typically uses.
