I was thinking of returning my 32GB model due to the lack of free space and the fact the "hack" to install Windows Store apps on SD card no longer works.

I really didn't want to delete my restore partition but considering doing that instead of going through the hassle of a return and paying more for the 64 GB model.

How much space is freed up and is it worth doing? How well have restores via USB jump drive worked?

Thanks!

Add another 4.5-5 GB to the free space

Thanks...thinking long an hard about this...I got this 32GB on sale and both it and the 64GB are back higher now, so basically, $100 more for the 64GB now (that good of a sale)...

May find a spare jump drive and converter to connect it to my Venue and give it a try...

You can copy the recovery to a MicroSD correct? And if so, how can you restore windows via MicroSD?

The way I did it was to move it to a usb via otg, then create an iso of the usb using power iso. I have reset the tablet using the usb (after creating another bootable usb using windows 7 usb tool) and it has worked

Thanks for the tips...it will help in my decision...though my work buying me a Surface Pro 3 helps in not needing an 8" tablet... ;)
