Top stories in new Facebook app

Why did they remove the top stories section?? That's really bad, cause when I'm in IE, when I open FB first news is always something I'm interested in. But on the app it maybe anything, considering huge amount of fan pages liked by me. Why did they remove it, as it was available in previous versions?

It's a stupid thing to have on something that's meant to be linear (like a timeline).
