Touch settings

WPCentral Question

Is there any way of updating the touch settings because my on/off button keeps breaking but the 'wake up' mode isn't appearing in my settings!

You didn't mention what model phone you have or your carrier.

The double tap to wake feature was originally added with the Amber firmware update, but models 520, 620, 720 were not given that feature. With the Black firmware update late last year, these phones were given the feature, but carriers had the option of disabling it (who knows why, but some did).

So model and carrier would help with determining why you don't have the double tap option.

But as far as I know and remember , double tap to wake was introduced with amber which was avaliable for most of the windows phone 8 devices running amber firmware except lumia 520. Though 521 on T-mob received double tap to wake ,lumia 520 and 625 recieved this with the black firmware update. Back on the OP question , you need to update system settings , here is the link for touch system setting

My point in mentioning when the feature was added to different models was to help determine what updates the OP should have. But it's also important to note that some carriers disabled the feature, so model and carrier are relevant to determining whether OP will ever have this functionality.
