Touchscreen swiping not working intermittently

Recently my Vivotab RT generated this issue where it won't accept swipes. Swiping to unlock the lockscreen the background stops where I lift my finger and doesn't swipe all the way up. Also, when this occurs, any edge swipes to bring up the charms bar or any menu inside an app doesn't work. Rebooting the tablet fixes it for a while but it always comes back. I have a Ghost Armor screen protector on, but it's been there since February and never been a problem. Next step would be to factory reset the tablet. Has anyone experienced this issue with this device?

After installing an update the rebooting screen showed this which is likely the cause of my swiping issue...

Still having this issue months later. Even tried removing my screen protector but no dice.

Yup, still have it. Some searching shows it is a fairly common issue on these tablets.

My wife's is still functioning perfectly, Mine has since started to act up. swiping the lock screen is difficult, and none of my swipe commands work. Any updates or fixes to this issue?

Well, after contacting asus, they have sent me a phone number to RMA my tablet. I am going to get them to either replace or fix the hinge on my keyboard too. mine is loose and sloppy, my wifes works much better. positive lock and needs pressure to move.
