Trade in 1520 for AT&T 830?

I love my 1520, but its just too big for me. I have been hoping the 930 would make its way to Att to get the best of both worlds, but I guess that won't happen.

So, should I consider the 830 as my next phone?

Personally I love the 1520 and the 830 both but honestly, aside from size, the 1520 is a better phone but if the size is just more than you can deal with then, yea, i'd personally jump on the 830.

the 830 is amazing, but do keep in mind that you'll be going from top notch to mid class :/ Also the 830 sports a snapdragon 400 processor, are you sure you can live with that? it bassically means that you won't be eligible for those updates that require the latest chip sets

Will the camera app performance and speed updates make their way to the 830? That's all I really care about. I'm not really concerned with losing "Hey Cortana"

Sold my 1520 for an 830 and haven't looked back. Didn't consider a 930 due to no Glance Screen and poor battery life.

Its the 1080p to 720p screen that would have me pausing at this.

Lol it reall comes down to preference I always say and if you prefer the smaller 830 over the larger 1520 then go ahead. The news over the upcoming camera improvements are sketchy :/ I think all the phones will get an update to the camera app, but most improvements will go to the phones with processors that can actually handle it.. and in that case the 1520 would be the phone to keep

Was using a 520, then upgraded to a 1520. It was fantastic, but too big. Returned it (sadly) for an LG Vigor with a 5" 720p screen. I returned the LG for a couple of reasons, but the 720p screen was nice.

Now I'm back on the 520 waiting to pick up an 830 on AT&T.

going form the 520 to 830 makes sense, but from a 1520 to 830? I mean the difference will be most noticeable in the loading times for games/apps/multitasking, but even then it will be a matter of seconds. If you're a gamer then the "heavy" games will have a slight longer loading period on the 830, but if the phone is for simple casual use then this should be of no concern

That's true. Text is a lot crisper, colors are more vibrant, and the screen itself just looks more alive. But like anything, you can get accustomed to it.

I work security at a nightclub and I'm always on the phone calling cabs for customers and calling management. I'm constantly taking my phone out of my pocket and putting it back in. My main concern with the 1520 was the size. I was always worried about dropping it. Yeah, the 1520 I the best, most badass, ultimate Windows Phone in my opinion, but sadly...I need something a bit more manageable for what I need to use it for. That's why I returned it for the 830.

They did, but only for one carrier, which blows - but it's called the Icon here in the States.

they showed the new camera app, and quick photo capture on both the lumia 830 and 735, so I am pretty sure these will get the camera benefits of the denim update and lumia photo app update as well.

I'd love for ATT to get a 930 with glance. Every phone from here on out must have glance. Unless it can make a device cheaper for the low end market, but I'd think glance would help.

Lol yea like i said. it comes down to what works for the user.. Specs are nice, but at the end of the day it's the user experience that matters

To the OP, if you can go to a store and play around with the 830 for a while that might help you decide
