I want to transfer my phone contacts from my old phone (Samsung SGH E250), a 2G phone. I do not want to involve Microsoft account and live in this.
Tried the following things :-
1. Tried "Transfer my Data" app. The connection to the Old phone is disconnected within a second of connecting.
2. I have the option to send my contacts through Bluetooth from my old phone.
But using this i can transfer one contact at a time. If i transfer three multiple contacts, i can saved only the last one in WindowsPhone.

How can i do this. I have also transferred the contacts to my PC. They are .VCF files.

Please help.

A couple of ideas that might work for you:

1. If your contacts are just name/number pairs (so not names with multiple numbers) then you could save them to your SIM card and import them that way.

2. You could install Windows Live Mail, which has the ability to import .vcf files. It can connect to your MS account.

1. Nop. The contacts are such that evry contact has 2-3 numbers. So this is not an option.
2. I dont want to move the contacts to Windows Live. My phone contacts are very much different from the email contacts. plus will i be able to to merge contact6s that are common in both phone and email.

Do we have another solution. If i can save a .vcf sent through bluetooth, why cant i get them all at once?

You'll have to add them to Outlook whether you like it or not. The only way you can have phone contacts without syncing to Outlook is if you don't sign into to a Microsoft account on your phone. I had to clean out my contacts list in Outlook when I first got my HTC 8S. It was a long and boring process but it was worth it in the end.

What I'd do in your situation is add each contact in Outlook on a computer. You'll be able to type names and numbers faster with a full-sized physical keyboard. Once you do that, log into to your Outlook account and the contacts will sync to your phone.

with the help of "transfer my data" app i have been able to transfer contacts and photos... but not text messages.. can anyone help me out..
