Transparent tile for Skype

I was just watching the video of WP 8.1 hands-on by Daniel Rubino in this article Exclusive - Video hands on with Windows Phone 8.1! | Windows Phone Central , and the Skype app does have a transparent tile in there (check 8:45).

Should we expect a new update for Skype, or MS just demonstrated how transparent tiles work ..?

You can do that now. There is an app called transparency tiles. It gives you transparent versions of tiles. They aren't live though.

Yeah it is possible now, but I don't think Joe Belfiore was building this app to make the Skype tile transparent

That app can't do Skype though.
