TuneIn Radio doesn't play in background?

What version are you running? 2.0 plays in the background just fine.

The Mango version (v2.0.0.0) of Tune-in radio should play in the background with no problems. If it has not updated you can find tune-in radio in the marketplace and force an update.

Also after you do update go into the settings and make sure "Enable radio playback when the screen is locked" is checked.

In my opinion, after the update, this is the best free app that Windows marketplace offers.

I love TuneIn radio too great app. Just wish Last FM would hurry up with background playing. I love my Last FM.

Love TuneIn Radio! I also recently discovered Mixtapes, another awesome music app.

Radio Hub is good too, although it hasn't been Mangofied yet it still can play under the lock screen.

I like Radio Hub too, but it doesn't have the station I want. I tried requesting it, but they never added it. So I just stuck with TuneIn, who had my already station listed.
