Twitter Contact Live Tile issues on 8.1

This has been happening on both my AT&T Lumia 920 and Lumia Icon, both on 8.1 Developers Preview with the 920 having Cyan. I have pinned two of my Twitter contacts to my start screen that always update and flip (I basically use the Twitter sign-in API on Windows Phone as a poor man's integrated RSS reader lol). Use to, the tiles would flip and should the news and any photos, and if you clicked on them and went into "What's New" or dug deeper, the Live Tile would still flip even after you've read the new content. As of 2 days ago, when I read the new story that is revealed on the start screen (or even open the contact that is pinned to my start screen for that matter), the Live Tile contact stops flipping; it is as if it knows my content was read or looked into and now it won't flip since it's not "new" content anymore.

Has anyone else been experiencing this lately? Again, it is on both my AT&T 920 and Icon, both on 8.1 Developer Preview and Cyan (for the 920). I also received yesterday's "critical update" on both devices.

I am resurrecting this thread because it is still happening to me and was wondering if anyone else has this problem? Could it be because I am using Live Folders (I have a lot of stuff pinned to my start screen in Folders). The weird thing is that the tiles do update, but they don't update nearly as frequently as they use to and they rarely flip over anymore (maybe once a day with new content).

For example, I have Window Central as a contact through Twitter. I pin them to my start screen and it may flip with new content. I'll leave my phone for maybe a couple of hours, and although new articles and feeds have come through, the contact doesn't flip anymore. I'll click on the Windows Central contact and will see new tweets from "1 hour ago", "5 hours ago", but they never flipped and appeared on my start screen. If the contact flips with new content and I don't click on it it'll stay flipping. If I click on the contact and go back to my start screen it no longer flips anymore until it randomly does on it's own and not in a 30 min increment.
