Do any of you Focus owners get more typos after upgrading to Mango? In my case, I type the wrong character more often than pre-Mango.
I haven't noticed any changes, and I haven't read anything about keyboard changes in the Mango release.
Although with the reported keyboard disappearing issue in Mango, MS should be looking at the whole utility. It's quite possible that while adding languages and keyboards, that they also did minute adjustments on touchpoints.
My vanishing keyboard issue went away after I removed "i'm a wp7" It could have been some kind of background agent it was using. Just glad it's fixed
Back on topic, the accuracy thing is something that I may never get confirmation on, although I've seen grumblings about it on another site. Thanks all for your replies.
aubreyq, your challenge is that confirmations are LIKELY to come only from especially accurate/fast typists. What you detect probably is affecting us, but not to a noticeable degree, rather to one that we can easily attribute/add to relative inaccuracy. For me, the Focus is only my second virtual keyboard phone, and a total of 4 months; I'm really struggling with accuracy and speed. The other factor is that there is a great deal of muddiness around the whole pre-/post-/only Mango matter. Some (like you, evidently) just moved to mango from a cearly non-mango state; some have been on Mango, or partly-, or mostly-mango for months; and some know only or mostly Mango. My sense from being here for a couple of months is that this second been-there group is pretty large and diverse in itself.
Anyway, that's a researcher's perspective: you are a member of a small population. Most of the Focus/WP7 universe will miss the subtleties that truly affect your group, but this does not make your experience(s) any less valid -confirmations or not. Hope that 7.5.1 fixes your (and our) issue; your "grumblings" here and elsewhere may help. Thanks.
