UKs bestselling Pre-pay for the last 12 months is Nokia Lumia 520!

I was quite surprised at this considering all the real cheap Android Phones. There was a quarter page advert for the Lumia 530 in the Sun newspaper today from Carphone Warehouse & Microsoft.
The advert states the Lumia 520 was the bestselling Pre-pay phone for the last year in the UK, and they are proud to announce the New Lumia 530.
Some good news for a change...

I spoke to a Carphone Warehouse sales guy recently and he said it's the best seller of the low-end phones for some time

The Lumia 520 is one of the best selling phones out there. It is the single most Windows device sold (including the desktop etc)

It just goes to show that Windows Phones can sell if its the right price and spec. Microsoft is right to concentrate on the low end phones first..

For budget phones most recommendations are Nokia Lumia 520/530 or the Moto G. I lurk on a lot of forums and these two are the budget phones to get.

I notice here in the UK that the shops, EE, O2, Vodaphone, Carphone Warehouse all have a much better selection of Windows Phones and a much better shop display of them too.
My two local Carphone Warehouse store have as many Windows Phones as Android phones in their Pay as u Go section, which is really good to see.

Have two 520's to backup my 820 and my wife's 925. Every now and then I take the Sims from the 820/925 and use the 520's for a week or so. Have greatest respect for 520.
