Umlaut in German Keyboard

I frequently use German for texting - and even if I switch to the German keyboard, the Umlauts (?,?,?) or the sharp s (?) are not available. Anybody has a solution for it?

Just like you would on any touch keyboard: press long a for ?, o for ?, u for ? and s for ? and you'll also get the letters with accents like you need for example in french (? as an example).
