Unable to reinstall Windows 10

I had to replace my hard drive and my bootable Windows 10 CD wouldn't install, so I had to go back to Windows 7. Can I upgrade back to Windows 10 without having to pay for it, as I have a key for Windows 10.

You should go straight to 10, elsewhere google is your best friend. An hardware change is a very common iussue can unvalidate a licence and needs some checkin, that happens with most of noteook producers too
