Unable to sync birthday calender from people

Hello,

Whenever i add birth day of any contact in people it should be appeared in calender, but it doesn't.
Can any one help with this issue ?

It takes some time for the birthdays of your contacts to appear in your calendar, usually within 24-48 hours. If you have properly set you birthday calendars in your outlook.com calendar page, you should see your contact's birthdays get synchronized within that time frame.

Ha! It takes more than a week for mine to sync. Yes you do need internet connectivity.
Edit: Ok that's a lie. Maybe 3 days.

Yes, you need to be connected to the Internet for synchronization to take place.

My experience has been that this system is totally buggy and doesn't work at all consistently. Judging from other threads about this same topic, I don't seem to be alone. Wish it would be fixed because my calendars online, on my phone and in Outlook 2013 all seem different regarding birthdays even though they supposedly pull from the same info. Very irritating.

Here's possible fix that seems to be working with my online (Outlook.com) Calendar via the People listings. Delete the "Year" associated with their birthday, then go into Calendar birthday settings and hit the Refresh option. Then the birthdays associated with your contacts might possibly autofill into your calendar. I've always listed years in my contacts' birthdays (when I knew the year, anyway), and my calendar seemed very buggy for birthdays. Then I saw an idea that the syncing problem might be related to having or not having a Year with the birthday. I've now deleted several birthday Years from my contacts and the Calendar now seems to be pulling from People. It's still annoying that it won't work with a Year selected when the Year box is offered as an option in People, but at least it's something of a fix for birthdays auto filling into your calendar like the system is supposed to work.
