Understaturated photos compared to Lumia Camera Classic that is. I notice this happening most when trying to photograph pictures in florescent light, but also during the day using indirect sunlight. This is using the automatic settings, by the way. Has anyone else noticed this and if they've fixed it with a factory reset, or by other means? Or is this just part of Lumia Camera 5?

I rather like the output of Lumia Camera Classic, but it takes so long to load compared to Lumia Camera 5.

I disagree the 5 is better in showing shadow detail, that's what you are seeing, the areas not in shadow are just as saturated in 5 as in LCC. It's you eye that's being fooled that's all.

Interesting suggestion; I wouldn't have thought of that. But I'm not really seeing the increase in shadow detail myself. For what it's worth, neither shot looks like it reproduces the shots accurately so it's not a huge deal. But I am annoyed by the living images (that I like) having such a different temperature from the final capture. Living images looks true to the view finder for both 5 and LCC whereas 5's final shots look much different.

I don't see that at all. Just to make sure, you mean LI and not rich capture ?

Same here... I posted about this since lumia camera 5 arrived
At teh end I decied to use Lumia camera 5 for the better OIS and speed... even so yes, photos have more real colors and with that undersatutared

For selfies I keep using lumia selfie, my skin know is not that pale >_<

That's why I shoot raw and just do a quick edit in PS and done. Amazing shots. Agree. I find the jpeg algorithm to be hit or miss. I find colors of blue too green.

Lewboski: Yep. I mean Living images, not rich capture. With certain lighting the effect can be very dramatic with regards to the saturation levels.

I'm glad it's not just me though. Blue1k: I had forgotten about the raw capability. I'll enable that setting in case the jpeg algorithm really screws up a good shot. Thanks.

To see how crappy the Richtone feature is with Flash compare below. DNG files are very natural. I'm going to shoot with them always:
