Anyone know of anywhere reliable and fast than I can get a carrier unlock code from? I am jumping ship to Tmobile soon and my phone is locked to ATT. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I unlocked 925 from Tmobile in two days. Day 1 i called them. Day 2 I got the code via email. Should the same with att

They wont unless I bought it from them directly and have an active account with them. :(
That's not true. My 925 I bought from online. When I called to unlock the only thing they (tmo) told me is " I need to have it active (in use) for 7 days at least (so they know it's being used) and call them back when time comes up". I called them after 5 days.. And the rest I said above..
If you haven't moved yet don't you still have acc with att

You shouldn't need to have bought it from AT&T, I bought my L520 from TigerDirect and another from Amazon, AT&T got it unlocked for me...I did have it on their network though

Your request should be made through AT&T, not T-Mobile. The forums won't allow me to post a link because I have less than 10 posts.

Google "ATT device unlock" and it will get you there. The terms for making a request are laid out. As long as you have had AT&T wireless service and meet other specified requirements, you should be able to get your free unlock code. I received mine within a day of making my request.

Thanks everyone for their input. AT&T were being jerks about I and wouldn't do it and their reason was that I am not their customer, even though I got the phone which is marked ATT and I have been using on Straight talk which runs on ATT network...I ended up paying 22 bucks and got the code in 4 days. Now I am Tmobile LTE!

Lets check the facts:
You bought it from a 3rd party
You're not using AT&T (Straight Talk doesn't count), so you don't have or had any account with AT&T.

There is no reason for them to unlock the phone for you. They'll happily unlock phones for AT&T customers. I've unlocked about 10 phones from them while I was their customer.

the way I see it, if its not stolen and I bought it, I should be able to use it.

True, but that's usually why phones that are unlocked cost more, so you don't have to be a customer of the phone's carrier to use it...personally, I am not surprised they wouldn't unlock it
