Unusual battery life

My 950XL battery life was declining. When new I got about 2 full days on a charge. After a few years I was getting one day. So I bought a "new" OEM battery and was not very pleased that it was manufactured before the battery that came with the phone. And no surprise, the battery life with that battery was no better over the months since.

Now within the last week, the battery life has gone from sometimes less than 1 day to 2 days and some change. I have no idea why. I haven't added or deleted any apps. I haven't played with any settings. I wonder if MS fixed something in the last OS update. Or if some app got fixed. Or if the phone finally recognized the new battery and how it reports battery status? Or ????

Anyone else seeing any dramatic battery improvements in the last week or so?

Under battery setting you should find the apps and here you can see which apps use most of the power. You can then decide if they shall run in the background or never run in the background. you can also allow it to auto brightness as well That keeps the battery going a bit longer.
