Update issue

I am using Lumia 640 yesterday my mobile started downloading creators update at first phone update page was opening and now the settings app will crash when I tri to open phone update page. And the update has consumed 1gb space in my phone memory. And it's been about 7 hours since no change of state. Now what should I do?

Have you tried a soft reset?

Normally if i restart my device the consumed space will remain consumed and i need to hard rest my phone(to get back that 1Gb) and start update from beginning but this time when i restarted it continued the update and solved the issue
