Windows Central Question

Something went wrong with the upgrade process It went thru the process but on restart when U enter the password nothing happens touch any other key and pw box returns. It scrambled the start order and now there is an X: drive and no C: . When I tried to use my backup it tells me it's for a different version of windows and fails. Whats the point of making backups when they work when windows upgrades. It looking like i'm going to have to reinstall everything. OS was on C; Drive a 512 SSD system has over 5Tb installed, This costs me a licence for every piece of software installed and will take close to 3 weeks to reprogram as it used as a Virtual recording studio. One program alone will take 3 days to DL and install as is near 400Gb.

Anyway to get this back??

System new build June 2016 - i7Core 6700k 4.0, 64Gb mem not OC'd, Asus Hero MB, Corsair: 500 case, liquid 120x240mm cooler, 750 watt mod PW, Gigabyte 4Gb dual fan Video, USB audio Scarlett 18i20, MIDI MUTO express 128
