Upgrade call to Skype

The button to upgrade a regular call to skype is pending an update to the Skype app right?

Tried it today and couldn't get the option to work.

me too, during a call the skype icon is greyed out...

You need to wait for the update for this functionality to work, yeah.

I noticed it was grayed out. I also noticed during a video call that when I hold my phone sideways the thumbnail of myself is upside down. The recipient sees it normally, but I see myself inverted.

sorry to kick this post but yesterday i tried it between a Lumia 930 and a 1020.. we both had (ofcourse) Skype.
I added my GF to my contacts ( also in Skype) we have both data connection and the option is still greyed out..
Some one can tell me what we are doing wrong?
