Upgraded to Windows 10 now backlight won't turn off, how can I get it to turn off?

Upgraded to Windows 10 now backlight won't turn off

When I turn the system off the backlight stays on and runs the battery down. It is not the keyboard backlight, it is the screen backlight. If I turn it off or put it to sleep the backlight stays on.

This did not happen prior to the upgrade to 10.
