Upgrading RAM on a Surface Laptop

Hello All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade RAM on Surface laptop with 8GB pre-installed. I am asking this as this is not possible in my existing Lenovo Yoga laptop.

Not possible... RAM and SSD are soldered onto the motherboard..

You don't buy any Surface for it's upgrade potential. (there is none)

Device thickness, weight, and battery life are quickly edging-out upgradability. While no one can predict what future hardware/software specs will be required, it is best to gauge how you use your device and plan for getting a little more power now.

To be fair, I think upgrading isn't all that common for the people who'd buy it anyway.

In the meantime, I just got an old ThinkPad and that still hasn't reached it's full potential! (although being Ivy Bridge is certainly a handicap relatively speaking)
