Thinking of getting the Lumia 630 from Cricket and wondering if it would work on my existing AT&T account. I read that the new phones would work on the gsm network. Anyone have any idea ? I know the 635 is due out but who knows when it will be available. I am in need of a phone now.

Regardless of technical capabilities, the phone is likely locked, and I doubt unlocking it will be easy.
tl;dr, don't bother, look for unlocked or ATT alternatives.

I received a Cricket 630 as a gift and I am on AT&T with our two 920's.
I saw where is should work on AT&T so just to see I took my sim out of my 920 and put it in the 630.
Works like a charm, tried pictures with text message and that worked, tried internet sharing and that worked.

AT&T owns Cricket now and all new Cricket phones ride AT&T GSM network. The devices seem to all be able to go back and forth. Using an Ativ S Neo from att on cricket.
