using windows phone on ubuntu pc

Can any body tell me how to manage my windows phone files from ububtu.! I cant find my phon once i connect it to the pc..

I'm actually running Linux as I type this. I've never tried any file management/sync using Linux, though, since I have Windows PCs I use to manage my Nokia Lumia 920.

my phone is not being recognized on pc.. im using lumia 520

In short there are no fixed solutions as mtp device support is pretty spotty in Linux.

go to ubunttu software center and download gMTP... connect your device and i will suggest wait some time and then open gmtp .. click connect ... it may take 30-40 sec and may greyed out as if non responsive but let it be and then it will prompt you to select your phone memory or your sd card... it you can now browse as normal ... if u didnt get it .. you can always search for gmtp on google
