Video format not recognised

I have a Windows 8 Nokia Lumia 920. Last night I recorded 3 videos. Two were fine but the third - actually the second I made - does not indicate the time it lasts and will not import into iPhoto as it says the video format is not recognised. When I browse files on my Windows Phone app on my Macbook, the file is there, it's 376 mb long, but I can't work out why I can't play it or import it to my computer

Try renaming the video file with .mp4 extension.
