videos cannot be played :-(

Guys, i bought an HTC 8x yesterday and i was trying to find out how well everything works. I tried playing a 720p video which i had sent to the phone from my tab. It was showing some kind of green distortions. I thought it was the video's problem. So i shot a 1080p video using the phone's camera and tried playing it. All it shows is a green screen and normal audio. I tried shooting 720p video. It plays fine. Already tried a reboot and a factory reset. Nothing seems to work. Please help me out :-(

I think you have a faulty phone need to send it back in for repairs. It should not have a problem playing 720p videos because the screen is 720p resolution.

I tried the GDR2 update..that's also not helping! Somebody please help :-(
