Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable.
Navigate to the pictures with File explorer. Note that there are 4 copies of every file by date/time stamp such as
- WP_20141107_14_02_27_Pro.jpg
- WP_20141107_14_02_27_Pro.mp4.thm
- WP_20141107_14_02_27_Pro.mp4.tnl
- WP_20141107_14_02_27_Pro_highres.jpg
This is assuming you are set to capture JPEG (5MP + 16MP)...
WP = Windows Phone, 20141107 = 2014/Nov/07th, 14_02_27 = 2PM/02min/27sec
Pro.jpg = the 5MP image for sharing ease
Pro_highres.jpg = the high quality 16MP image
Pro.mp4.tnl = the thumbnail of the image file (smaller than 5MP even)
Pro.mp4.thm is the actual living image (motion capture) in a reduced format. Note the file size is smaller than the 5MP image!!!
Copy the appropriate Pro.mp4.thm file(s) to your computer. Right click the file(s) > Properties > and in the file name, edit off the .thm so it says WP_20141107_14_02_27_Pro.mp4 and it will now be playable as a Media Player file (or whatever default player you have for mp4 video.
