Voice Command

Does the latest version of MS Voice Command work on the touch, eliminating the requirement for prerecorded tags? I just viewed a YouTube video on the Touch that shows one programmable button, leading me to believe that it will work.

Using Voice Command without tags is one of my top requirements in any new smartphone purchases.

"Unlike the GSM Touch which came with Cyberon Voice Commander, a full-fledged speech recognition app, the Sprint version comes with Cyberon Voice Speed Dial which requires that you record voice tags for contacts and applications. Voice Speed Dial is accurate and reliable, and works with Bluetooth headsets and car kits as a consolation. "

I don't know what would keep you from changing out the app, although that would involve a cost for the app.

Again, this is from a review; I have not tested personally.

anyone put voice command on a Touch yet?

I hate the voice tags too but love being able to initiate from my bluetooth headset. The is not a trial available for Voice Command 1.6 so it will cost me $39.95 just to see??? Seems a bit steep to me. I do prefer voice commands interface though. Voicedial on the stock Touch misinterprets my command more often than not resulting in having to quickly hang up be the call connects. Also, who wants to recrd tags on a zillion contacts!

Voice Command on Touch

Thought I would try one more time...
Anyone get VC working on a Sprint Touch yet? I bought it (pricey!) but it seem to jack my Touch a bit. Slowed it down. Please HELP! I hate voice tags!!!

it works, you just have to turn off the confirmations (where it makes you say yes or no) otherwise it wont work, but if you turn that off it works rather nice.

Also turn off the voice announcing who is calling.... that will for sure slow the phone down when you get a call...
