volume cradle problem?

As of today my volume goes down whenever it wants. I can be texting and the volume indicator just goes down or when on a phone call. Anyone know any possible fixes?

I've had this issue on the HTC Trophy, but I figured I was probably accidentally hitting the volume button from time to time.

I used to have volume problems when I plugged anything into the 3.5mm jack on my Surround. But everything got straightened out after my first hard reset. No issues in 8 months.
