Anyone have problems with waking the SP3 after using the power button to sleep/hibernate after a couple of hours?
I end up having to hard reset to wake my SP3.

I haven't had a problem since I got it. It's just a little slower to start up from hibernation than from sleep. Have you updated to the latest firmware?

yes everything is updated.
It not slow to start, it just wont start. Unless i do a hard reset.
I know its full coz i left it on charge the entire night.

Mine just started doing the same thing. I tap the top button to wake it from hibernation, it shows Surface and the spinning dots for 2 seconds, then the screen goes black and nothing works. I have to hold the top button for about 10 seconds to force a power down, wait about 30 seconds and power it up.

I wondered if there is a problem with the hibernation file. I opened the Command Prompt(Admin) and did chkdsk c: /offlinescanandfix (schedule and restart to let it run the chkdsk) to see if that could correct a possibly corrupt file. The SP3 has not done it since, but it was not a common occurrence anyway.

This happened once to me, and I got angry and started repeatedly pressing the power button. After about 10-15 clicks it woke up from hibernation like normal. Your results may vary. :winktongue:

I think I figured out the issue. Just ran a battery report.....
In normal suspension (less than 4hrs i think) battery drain is minimal.
In hibernation mode, the battery kills itself.....50% -> 0%.....
I dont get it. Usually I can just wake it with a hard reset....My Mobo may not be reading the battery charge correctly in hibernation....
