  • Microsoft has an online program for phone, laptop, or tablet trade-ins.
  • Users can get up to $700 back when purchasing a Surface Duo.
  • New smartphones yield the most money, laptops not so much.
Microsoft unveiled the Surface Duo pricing and availability today. There's no doubt that the price, which starts at $1,399, is on the high-end (but still well below Samsung's Galaxy Fold at $2,000).

When I went to place my order, I didn't see any listing for a 900/950XL trade-in. I hope this is an oversight that will soon be corrected.

Wait for the fire sale. I believe the lack of 5G at this price point will be a no go for most. Although I could be wrong. I'm waiting for the Duo 3.

You may be right. History seems to show 1st Gen devices like this as basically dipping a toe in the water and watching sales numbers and customer feedback to steer the program. Although I could be wrong too. Ha
