Wanting to switch badly!

Ok I went and played with the Titan at AT&T and I'm in lust with it! The size and simplicity are beautiful. I'm due for a full upgrade on my AT&T contract and have been holding off on using it. I am currently an iPhone 4 user of course. Like it but the screen size on that Titan ...,,,,, That and everyone around me here has an iPhone. Should I wait until an After Xmas sale and get it? I put an ad on CL and a guy responded he'd trade me my iPhone plus cash for his Titan. Thing is he wants $200 and my phone.

Yes it would. I hesitate using my upgrade because something would come out and I'm locked in a contract.

I hear that. I'm that why myself sometimes. I don't mind so much on ATT though because of GSM worst case scenario I will Craigslist the new device. If you are going to wait then you are also going to be in a forever cycle. In August - October they will probably announce another iPhone. And then that fever will start again. Most would wait is to see what Nokia is going to release here, then make your jump. I am loving my WP7 right now though :-D

I'd like to just take the jump. There's always something new going to come out. Think there will be any before or after Xmas sales from AT&T? That screen is just sweet! I don't mind not having tons of apps. As long as there is FB, twitter, Netflix I'm good!

Perfect for some - muddy for others. I hope the muddy ones are just a bad batch that went through.

I wouldn't let it stop you because if you do get one just return it for a good one. That's my plan...

I don't believe the issue is down to individual handset manufacturing defects, and I don't think it has anything to do with sim cards.

I say hold out to see if there are after x-mas sales. Never know if MS might do the penny sale again. Plus, sounds like you're getting a raw deal from that craigslist guy. $200 bucks to him + your phone for his Titan? WTF. Should be an even swap if anything based on out of contract prices

Yeah. I am going to wait and see what After Christmas Sales AT&T comes out with. No rush. And I was just entertaining his offer. I think he was crazy. Or it was a stolen unit he was trying to sell. I will have my Titan as a birthday present to myself by Jan 9th!!

Yeah, screw that. You could probably sell your iPhone, get a Titan on CL/eBay, and maybe have a few bucks to spare.

You might consider holding off or getting a cheaper Focus for now, then use your upgrade on the Nokia 900 in 2-3 months. Just a thought.

Depending on how much you want to spend, you can get a lumia 800 now and use the micro sum from your iPhone.

Wait, someone was willing to trade you his Titan for your iphone 4 PLUS cash?!! Wow! Well anyways it's the same ole story about electronics going obsolete in months rather than years. Let's keep things in perspective. The only thing I can see happening with the window's platform is getting a higher resolution screen. That won't happen at the very earliest until windows 8 comes out which is slated sometime late 2012. Knowing MS this would probably be in 2013. Until there I don't see anything that you would be missing out, unless you want a 3.7" nokia. I find things are worth upgrading every other generation...which just so happens to be roughly every 2 years. You'll always be wanting the latest and greatest which arguably happens to be the Titan right now.

No he hasn't responded about the Titan so I picked up a new Focus for $125.
