I like your post but the tone of it is not very constructive and is against community rules. Please re-write it so that it conforms to community rules.
Original Post:
1.) there are very good reasons NOT to have a file manager or as someone else suggested the ability to install apps from SD cards… It could possibly open the platform up to side-loading, hacking or other forms of shenanigans and piracy.
2.) The openness of Android is an fa?ade. Android app writers can get away with all sorts of bull**** when it comes to permissions and use of the file system. I don't call that open[i/], I call it a poorly designed foundation. Have you ever wondered why Android has millions of apps? Perhaps, most of them are cracked and repackaged for the purpose spreading malware, stealing your information or enrolling the user in a botnet.
3.) There are already various YouTube video downloaders, why would you need .flv support? I’m not going to mention what reason I think people download videos for..
4.) An official Facebook app will come when Facebook decides to develop one and nothing is stopping you from using the web browser for Facebook.. the mobile version of the site is probably still better than an app.
5.) People are fickle, they will download any app when its needed to share a file. just ask if you can send the video via SkyDrive or email.
6.) If you think that Symbian or Android has more to offer then by all means continue using them.
7.) Microsoft and Nokia are for-profit organizations and produce quality consumer goods and expect fair compasation for their product and services. If you can not offord such quality goods then you should probably concentrate on feeding yourself and your family first.
Perhaps the Indian consumer market should just stick to Android…
