Warning for new users - prevent you can not start windows anymore

On the first day I made the mistake of updating windows AFTER setting pincode and training hello.

Result was that hello was disabled and pincode was disabled as well because some security bla bla was changed.

Password sign in was not available.

So getting access / logging in to my Go was impossible.

Had to do a hard reset (press and hold the on/off button and volume up button at the same time) and reinstall windows.

Apparently it is a known bug that Microsoft did not fix yet.

So be sure to to several update checks before training hello and/or setting the PIN.

Try logging into safe mode and resetting your pin that way

Not possible to log in at all in my case. I did extensive "research" on the interweb and a reinstall was the only solution.

I guess I don't understand specifically how this happened... Because I trained Windows Hello and entered my PIN code and then did the most recent update and I can still login?

same here, hello enabled with a pin code plus bitlocker.
updated and still fine. this is a first i’ve heard.

I am glad it went ok for you. According to the Microsoft support staff the only solution is a reinstall.
