The original poster simply asked how to upgrade. He did not ask about the camera.

My advice, if you are interested at the quality of 920 photos, is to remain to GDR1 because the new sw version (Amber+GDR2 or Black+GDR3) have a great issue on the camera software that lower the quality of the photos a lot.
Another possibility is to upgrade only the OS (GDR2 or GDR3) and not the FW (Amber or Black), in this mode you can have the new feature of the OS without the issue in the camera.
