Weather on lock screen w/Lumia 640

When I set up the phone, there was MSN weather on my lock screen. For some reason now, it disappeared and I can't seem to find how to reenable it.

I have the image/wallpaper just fine, but the weather information just disappeared. Help or is this a glitch?

You're right, it is Weather. My mistake. I just didn't want it to be confused with "The Weather Channel's" Weather app that is also just called Weather.

The Bing image of the day is working for me, but not the weather display.

I ran into the same problem with Weather app as well. It just refuses to show any details on the weather. I have just been using Bing image.

That's strange. I remember encountering the same problem with the Weather app, but I didn't really think it was a problem - since it turned out that I didn't even have an active location in the app. All I had to do was to either set a location or let the app detect my location automatically, and then let the app load the weather details.

To double check, you may also go to your phone settings > lock screen, and then make sure that "Weather" is selected as the lock screen image provider. And then, open the app from that same page to "force" the update of the lock screen.

Let us know what happens.

Thank you for that tip. I tried it, and I even have a home location (where I'm currently at) and it didn't work. The lock screen image works for the current weather, it just doesn't display the information with it. I think I had it work once when I was setting up the phone but then it no longer worked.The image for the lockscreen has worked all this time but it doesn't want to work for the text. It really is strange.

Try this: Uninstall the app, change lockscreen to picture, go to storage sense and delete temporary files and make sure apps are allowed to install on the internal memory, restart phone, install weather, open it and setup (don't say yes to lock screen from within the app), now go to lockscreen settings, select weather and then open app from the button below the application chooser.

Oh my goodness, thank you! That worked. I normally install apps on my sd card, including this one.

Did you try uninstalling it, then go into storage sense to set for apps to install on phone, and then reinstalling it again and finally reenabling the lock screen? That was what finally worked for me.
