Does anyone else notice times when Cortana spells things phonetically in weird, unexpected ways? A few days ago, my brother was trying to look up something about the city of Houston. Cortana instead searched for "Euston." I assisted my mom with upgrading her laptop to Windows 10 over the weekend. I was showing her some of the new features, and she was using "Hey Cortana" to do random web searches. My mom asked for information about dogs and Cortana searched for "dawg."

I think Cortana is a useful feature for the most part, but I find it both annoying and humorous at the weird ways that Cortana sometimes interprets/transcribes voice commands.

I will hazard a guess that you and your family are somewhere South and East of Westchester... Perhaps even on Lawng Island...

My brothers and I were born and raised in Oklahoma City, and our mom is originally from Houston, TX. I'm pretty sure that the way we say Houston doesn't sound like how a Londoner would say Euston.

LOL... OK. Those Lawng Islanders drop their Haitches pretty bad. Your post caused me to have a flash-back I guess. :D
