What app games don't require data connection?

I tried to play the Microsoft Solitaire Collection game on my Lumia 640 phone with the data and WiFi setting turned off, but the Data Usage monitor still showed data being used.

the data was off and you could see the data counter rising as you used the game?

A lot of apps don't require data connection for them to work
