What does lightening bolt and gear means

When i switched on my phone i pressed volume up key and i saw a lightening bolt and gear what does it do ?

Try shutting it off (Vol. Down + Power) then pop out your SIM tray and blow it out with air and clean the contacts on the SIM card then re-insert. Power it back up and see if all is good. I've only seen that once and it was when I was semi messing with the SIM tray.

You can see it on your own phone just switch on phone and keep the volume up button pressed just after the phone vibrates
