What happens after Lumia 990?

This numbering system can't go on too much longer. Lumia will have to rebrand or just end altogether.

560,570,580,590, now what? 600? That's already a completely different phone class

That's an interesting point.
An interesting parallel is Handspring/Palm's Treo line, which went up to 800w (or 850w if you want to count the "Pro")

I imagine the mobile landscape to have shifted sizably, at least in the bottom few percentage points and maybe Lumia will be no more in favor of who knows.

I don't believe Windows Phone is going to die. Although Lumia imo has 2-4 more years left before MS drops it.. After that Surface Phone will be Microsoft's only first party mobile device.

Not to mention other OEM's will be on board also.
