Alcohol wipes. You can buy expensive ones that say they're for cleaning a computer or generic ones that are used for the medical industry and cost a fraction of the "computer" specific ones, which are the same thing.

Wipe it down with an alcohol wipe to clean off the gunk and then a microfiber cloth to remove the alcohol/gunk residue.
