What current windows phone would you recommend to use on the Verizon network. The company that I work for has there plan through Verizon and I had a NOKIA 735 I think that recently broke (Ok, I dropped it)... Verizon said they didn't even have any phones at there store, I saw some on eBay that I could purchase, but was looking for some guidance. Any help would be appreciated.

If I had to get a Windows Phone on Verizon, right now, I would get the Lumia 735. Not because it's the best but I think it's the most rounded.

Remember, there are no current Windows Phones to use on Verizon. There were rumors of a Verizon HP Elite X3 but I would honestly bet against that possibility.

Now if you wanted a technically superior phone, the Lumia Icon (929) is the way to go. It's just that it's battery life isn't as good as the 735's. And it's not exactly new.

I just figured out that I was suppose to reply to your response as opposed to posting something new (still figuring things out around here). What are the benefits of the Icon (929) over the 735?

Icon has more RAM, a faster processor, a better screen, and a better camera. The battery isn't the greatest but I consistently got 18+ hours on mine. The 735 should give you better battery life and it has expandable storage up to 128 GB. The Icon doesn't have expandable storage but it has more on board (32, vs. 16 on the 735). Other than the battery life and lack of expandable storage, I had no complaints with my Icon.

I posted this news within the Elite X3 subheader, but just to make it known to all not following that thread I figured I should post here as well since it is (will be) relevant.

Per the link: https://opendevelopment.verizonwirel...se/device/4916

Verizon is showing the Elite X3 as a device that will be allowed on their network.

I reached out to the HP Rep listed on the Verizon page to inquire about whether there was a new version coming or if the existing X3 could be added to Verizon, and he emailed me back with these exact words:

"The Verizon version of the Elite x3 is not currently available. It should be listed on HP.com in mid-September."

I also spoke to Verizon and HP tech support reps who confirmed the Elite X3 is coming for Verizon. Based on all of this info, once the Elite X3 is released for Verizon within a few weeks (hopefully), it will be the best and newest Windows Phone you can get on Verizon (or any network) for that matter.

Hope that helps!
