What is the likelihood???

After hearing and now seeing that AT&T delayed the NoDo rollout to add its own bloatware goodies, what do you think the likelihood is that Verizon is delaying the release of the trophy so that it may do something similar?

I have heard tell that Verizon has some apps in the marketplace already. But they may want to get a little more visibility for those apps or future apps by tying them together with WP7 updates.

Just a thought.

There has been a number of people, including myself, that think this is the best plausible explanation for the delay. It's still, nonetheless, an educated guess, at this point.

Well until the powers that be (verizon) decide to really communicate anything, anything at all with us (their jaded customers) an educated guess is all we have.

I just don't see what else could truly be holding this up.

The conspiracy theorist in me still wants to believe that Verizon may have some sort of deal to with Sony to release the Xperia (the Playstation phone) before they release any WP7 phone.

Then again, I have as much information as the rest of you, which is nothing.

Well, I can't very well leave them. They have me bent over a barrel so to speak. They have the best coverage where I am at, and my employer will pay 22% of my monthly bill.

The only thing they don't have is a WP7 phone... and it makes no sense that they don't.

I'm in the same boat, Jones. I receive a 17% employee discount on my bill. I'd be a fool to leave Verizon over an operating system. While I absolutely love the WP7 experience, and consider it the better OS out there, it's not significantly better than what Verizon already offers. So I'm staying put, whether I like it or not. Now, if I happen to lose my discount then I'm bolting. Although I do think that Verizon will carry WP7 phones, it's just a matter of me being patient during the waiting game.

I can assure you, there isn't going to be any kind of big announcement regarding this phone. It will show up on the website one day, saying "available on this date" and that's all there will be.

I've read all of your post (thanks for the info) but this one seems a bit different. I guess we should start checking the V website more often. Thanks for the veiled hint.:D
