What is "Virtual Machine Platform"?

I found that while I cannot enable Hyper-V in a VM and also not Windows Sandbox (because it relies on Hyper-V), I can enable "Virtual Machine Platform".

What does it do and what would a VM do with it?

Well I am using Windows Sandbox without enabling Hyper-V and Sandbox working fine because virtualization is enabled in boot menu. I also using VM without enabling Hyper-V and works fine again because Virtualization is enabled in boot menu. I thought you have some program conflict that's why facing problem...

I think VM ware works independently and nothing to do with Hyper-V because i am using it without enabling Hyper-V.
