Microsoft is hosting a special event in New York City on September 21 and remains tight-lipped about what we’ll see, but I already know the main highlights for AI and new Surface hardware.
There is absolutely no indications Microsoft changed its playbook.
Thus,
New Surface devices with minor tweaks and an outrageous sticker price.
Cheaper devices in the lineup will still be missing a backlit keyboard even though they've been bashed about this in every single review.
No new ARM-based devices.
Windows 12 demoed with integration of AI in many places that will end-up being gimmicky - people won't use this after few times playing with the new curiosity.
Another year, another confirmation of Microsoft's continuing declining relevancy and total lack of major relevant innovations.
I don't expect much and I would really like to be astonished like I was the year the Surface Neo was demoed.
