What's the Nokia account for?

I noticed in settings there's an option to create a Nokia account....what's that for? what benefits does it bring me?

It's a left over from the Nokia era.
You could use it as email account and to sync your favorites in HERE.
So no real use for it anymore.
For HERE you now have to create a "HERE" account.
