WhatsApp draining a lot of battery

In my recently purchase Lumia 930, WhatsApp is draining a lot of battery, which never happened in my old 920. Is it because of the resolution? I read, that this latest version of WhatsApp was very good for battery saving, apart form all the new features.

Is it draining in the background or while using it? In the background i have no problems, while im using it i didnt really check if any improvement happened with the new app version. Do you have the recent one with the .xxx7 ?
Also, if you installed it to the SD card you can have some problems. You can move it to your phone storage with Storage sense. Or just reinstall it completely.

I purchased my Lumia 930 on Saturday. So it has to be the latest version of WhatsApp. Where I can see the option of image cropping and caption. Lumia 930 doesn't have a memory card slot. With my Lumia 920. I never faced this issue. Not even with the old version of WhatsApp
