Hm, this is happening on my wife's 920 as well. IS there a way to backup the images and videos even without being able to open the app? She doesn't mind losing the logs.

Images and videos are already saved to your phone.

My feeling is that you are lucky when programs like this don't open. Do you realize how much of your personal info is attached to things like facebook and other social type programs. Not for me.

Nope, they'll remain on your phone. If you're concerned about losing photos at all (by losing your phone, etc) I recommend backing up all of your photos to OneDrive.
